1. Day: Arrival in Oaxaca

 BUENOS DIAS MEXICO

We pick you up at the airport or the bus station and bring you to your hotel. Oaxaca is the capital of the state of the same name and famous for its folklore, the countless fiestas, the vivid Indian markets and the colonial center. Therefore it is definitely worth to see for travelers in Mexico. After your arrival you can use the free time to visit the colorful market and to give the regional delicacies a go. Grasshopper, mole and the typical chocolate are famous for Oaxaca. Overnight stay.

 


 2. Day: City Tour Oaxaca

After the breakfast, your city tour starts through the colonial center of Oaxaca, which is declared world culture heritage by the UNESCO. During your tour you get to know the most important and most famous sights, such as the beautiful cathedral and the Zócalo, the main square of the city. Use the rest of the day to discover the colorful colonial city on your own. Overnight stay.

 


 3. Day: Monte Albán

After breakfast you are off on the way to Monte Albán, the most distinguished archeological site of the region. Already a long period of time ago Aldous Huxley, the American writer, was fascinated by the Zapotec city that is situated on an artificially flattened mountain. It is definitely going to impress you, too. Discover the site's impressive temples, pyramids, the ball game court and several relief panels.  Afterwards you return to Oaxaca. Overnight stay.

 


 4. Day: Mitla, Tule, Hierve el Agua

In the morning after breakfast we take you to the archeological site Mitla. On the way you stop over at the world's widest living tree, the Tree of Tule. In its stem you can discover interesting formations,  which are explained by your guide. After visiting Mitla you keep going to the limestone waterfalls Hierve el Agua, which are waiting to offer you a refreshing bath in the mineral water with a breathtaking view on the waterfalls and the surrounding area. Relaxed and refreshed you are taken back to the hotel. Overnight stay.

 


5. Day: Oaxaca

Depending on your following journey we bring you at the right time either to the airport or to the bus station of Oaxaca.
