By Train through the Copper Canyon

1. Day: Arrival in Chihuahua

 2. Day: Chihuahua - Creel

Pick- up time is at 5:30 am to bring you to the train station. Your first stopover is the small logger village Creel. After having a little rest you are off for a trip to the amazing lake Areko and the Valle de los Hongos y de las Ranas, where you see impressive rock formations, which remind of mushrooms and frogs. Afterwards you visit the small Jesuit village San Ignacio with its famous mission church of the same name, as well as an inhabited cave house of the Tarahumara. Extra charged you can also enjoy this tour on the back of a horse and experience the extraordinary landscape on hidden ways. In the following you go back to your hotel in Creel. Overnight stay. 

 

 3. Day: Creel - Barrancas

At 11.35 am the train leaves in direction Barrancas. In the afternoon you arrive at the famous canyon view point of Divisadero, which is situated right in the middle of the Sierra Madre Tarahumara. This afternoon you go on a two-hour hiking tour through the Canyon where you can enjoy breathtaking views and meet the legendary Tarahumara indigenous people, who are willing to teach you about their traditional way of life. Overnight stay.

 4. Day: Barrancas - Bahuichivo

We recommend you to get up early today to have the chance to join a hiking tour and experience the beautiful sunrise over the Canyon. After breakfast you are off to a short hiking tour to get some last pictures of the most amazing and spectacular landscape with tropical palms, banana plantations and beautiful valleys before you go to the last station.  At 1:50 pm the journey continues to Bahuichivo. After your arrival we bring you to your hotel in the small colonial town Cerocahui. On your way to the village you can enjoy extraordinary rock formations and beautiful waterfalls. Overnight stay.

 5. Day: Bahuichivo - Los Mochis

  BUENOS DIAS MEXICO

In the morning you join a hiking tour to the famous view point of Cerro del Gallego, which offers the best view over the Urique Canyon in the whole region. After a 3-hour walking tour through the impressive nature you take the train at 3:15 pm to Los Mochis. After your arrival at 10:15 pm you will be picked up and brought to your hotel. Overnight stay.

6. Day: Day of Departure

BUENOS DIAS MEXICO

At the appropriate time our driver brings you to the Airport in Los Mochis.
