Today you are off towards the impressive archeological site Teotihuacán that is situated about 65 kilometers away from the city. You definitely shouldn't miss out on climbing up the Sun- or Moon Pyramid as it provides you with an imposing view over the whole area over the former "city of gods". Then you keep going to the Basilica de Guadalupe, the most famous pilgrimage site of Mexico, before we bring you back to your hotel. Overnight stay.
4. Day: Villahermosa - Comalcalco - Chocolate Route

After breakfast you are brought to the airport. Once you arrive in Villahermosa, your guide is waiting for you to take you on a panoramic city tour. Afterwards you continue to the archaeological site of Comalcalco, the most western of all Mayan sites. Because of a lack of stones, the buildings here have been constructed with bricks. Due to its strategically well positioned location, this former city developed into an important trading center, in which the cocoa bean served as medium of exchange between the Maya and mesoamerican cultures. Before being brought back to your hotel in Villahermosa, you visit the ancient hacienda Jesus Maria, where you enjoy a walk through the cocoa plantation and experience the traditional production of chocolate and liqueurs. Of course you also get the chance to taste all of these homemade delicacies. Overnight stay.
5. Day: Villahermosa - Palenque - Villahermosa

After breakfast you are heading to another impressive excavation site. The archaeological site of Palenque is not the biggest one of the Mayan sites, but, due to the architectural phantasm and the unique backdrop of lush tropical rainforest, certainly one of the most impressive and most beautiful cities of the Mayan world. Get enchanted by the artfully designed temples, the inscriptions of the temple of the sun, the palace, the ball game court and the unique atmosphere. In the afternoon you are brought back to Villahermosa. Overnight stay.
6. Day: Villahermosa - Mérida - Uxmal

In the morning you catch a flight to Mérida, which is also known as the "White City" and make yourself comfortable in your hotel room. Afterwards you are off towards Uxmal, which is Yucatan's most important archeological excavation apart from Chichen Itza. After dinner, you enjoy the impressive Light and Sound Show at the archaeological site, before you are brought back to Mérida. Overnight stay.
7. Day: Mérida - Sisal Route & Cenotes

After breakfast you visit the beautiful hacienda Sotuta de Péon that is dating back to the 17th century in Tecoh. Here you get the chance to experience the production of henequen fiber, better known as sisal, which used to be the "green gold" of Mexico. In a rail vehicle that is pulled by donkeys, you get to see the huge henequen plantation. Afterwards you can take a refreshing dip in the crystal clear cenote, before enjoying a delicious lunch in an authentic atmospere in the main building of the hacienda. Relaxed and refreshed you are heading back to Mérida. Overnight stay.
8. Day: Mérida - Chichen Itza - Cancun

After breakfast you leave towards Chichen Itza, one of the seven world wonders and Mexico's most famous and best restored archeological excavation. After your guided tour, you move on to the paradise Playa del Carmen. Admire the monumental Kukulkan pyramid, which is also known as "El Castillo" and all the other impressing constructions this place has to offer. After your guided tour you move on to Playa del Carmen or Cancun where your connection stay begins. Enjoy your last days in Mexico on its beautiful dream beaches before you're heading back home. Overnight stay.
